I think you should all watch this video, especially if you’re a Half Life fan.

Resident Evil 5

I picked up a copy of Resident Evil 5 last night and had a quick chance to play it before I went to bed.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect, I hadn’t played an RE game since number 1 on the PlayStation, but so far I’m pretty happy with what I’ve seen.

It took me a little while to come to terms with the controls, and stopping to shoot, but these were things that I was expecting anyway so there were no real issues or problems. It also took me a while to figure out that I could melee with my knife when I ran out of bullets. This information would have been helpful when I was getting my face stomped on by a massive zombie with an even bigger axe.

I’m not sure that I’ll get a chance to play again until Wednesday afternoon, unfortunately most of my evenings are fairly busy, even without gaming. With any luck I’ll be able to play through the game co-op this weekend - I’ve heard that co-op is the best way to play through. I’m not sure how long the game is, I’m guessing around the 8 to 10 hour mark, which should make it doable in one big poop-sock marathon.

Well it looks like we’re back online and, as they said, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it might have been.

I suppose only time will tell if we’ve come through this unscathed but, so far, everything looks good.

I’ve decided that it’s time to upgrade the version of WordPress that I’m running here.

Usually updates leave me with a bad taste in my mouth, something always seems to go wrong, but the WordPress readme file seems to make it sound like a fairly foolproof system. I certainly hope that’s the case.

In any case, if you’re reading this now and there’s nothing here when you get back then you know what’s happened. If I don’t come back please let my parents know what’s happened.

After saying to people that I didn’t want to do it I’ve finally cracked and registered a Twitter account.

I’ve never seen the point in keeping people informed on what you’re doing 24/7 - people need their privacy. The more I see people talk about Twitter, though, the more I feel like I’m missing out on something.

I have to admit that I’m disappointed that Fable 2 didn’t make the list anywhere; not surprised, just disappointed. Also I would have liked to have seen Guitar Hero - World Tour there somewhere, I think it’s a better game than Rock Band 2.

I have to apologise for not updating recently, for the last few weeks I’ve spent my spare time either finishing websites for people, packing, moving or unpacking.

As you may have guessed, with the packing and moving thing, I’ve just moved in to a new house. It’s the first house I’ve bought so, for me, it’s an exciting thing. I’m going to spend most of today doing things around the house; I’m going to buy a new BBQ, mow the lawns and fix my side gate - all those things I look at older people doing and think they need to get a life, haha.

Really I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven’t died. Although I wonder what would happen to my site if I DID die … No one would know. If I died at my house it could be months, even years, before someone realises I’m not updating my site.
